Many thanks to the wonderful folks at Shawnee Public Library for opening their doors to Shawnee Lions Club. They served up some delicious fajitas, told us all about the great goings-on at Pioneer Library's branch here in town and gave us a tour of their very impressive Makers Lab, where all manner of crafts and creations are being made by some fun and knowledgeable folks. Apparently anybody can get in on the fun, we come to find out !
Special tip of the hat to new branch manager Mary Sims for making us feel welcome, answering all of our questions, and offering to help the club with programs in the future at any time.
This was also an opportunity for us to meet our newest member Jordan Kime, who recently joined the club (another Greg recruit) and is already jumping in and signing up for service projects. Welcome Jordan!
